| | 2007 Review | | Cabrera scored 21 less runs than he did in 2006. That's the only negative thing I can say about |
| | Cabrera's stats last year. His run production was down because the Marlins offense was down the |
| | second half of the season. He was among the league leaders in homeruns, RBI, and batting |
| | average. |

| | 2008 Outlook | | Cabrera was a star the moment he stepped onto a major league baseball diamond. Most players |
| | have an accent to their peak years. Starting with his first full year in the majors, and every year |
| | since, Cabrera had over 110 RBI. For the past three seasons, he's had a batting average of .320 |
| | or better. According to the baseball player maturity model, Cabrera is a few years away from his |
| | prime. He may not be the hardest worker or the best guy or in the best shape, but he is production |
| | personified. At his age, he can afford not to take care of his body. Five or six years from now, |
| | that's a different story. |

| | Off Season | | Cabrera was traded from Florida to Detroit in an eight-player deal. He will be the centerpiece of the |
| | Moves | | most explosive lineup in the American League. Detroit has a tough home park to hit in, but so does |
| | Florida. Cabrera should have a huge year. |
